Wheat Grass Benefits Your Body
Wheat grass benefits your health in many ways and is probably one of the best anti aging supplements you can give yourself!
It also contains every vitamin, mineral and amino acid for complete nutrition, therefore making it very high in antioxidants.
Wheat grass is fast becoming one of life’s great health food supplements, and is continually growing in popularity.

It is great for people who are on who are on diets, for those who find themselves eating a lot of processed foods, or for people who just like to put nothing but healthy stuff into their bodies.
Wheatgrass expands in the stomach and many people find they don’t need to eat as much at meal time. Can even be a good thing to take after a night of drinking, so you don’t feel so hung over in the morning!
This is considered one of natures super food, because of its many natural healing qualities.
Wheat grass comes from the cereal grass family, which includes Barley, Oat, Kamut and Rye Grass. What this means is; cereal grass is the young plant which grows to produce the cereal grain, they are chemically and nutritionally very different from the mature seed grains.
The wheat grass is cut before it forms the grain, therefore if you are allergic to wheat you will be able to take wheat grass as it does not contain the gluten found in the wheat berry after it has grown.
The recommended amount of vegetables to eat a day is five serves, which is unrealistic for most people, including me. By taking wheat grass you have a much easier and effective way to meet this goal.
Wheat grass comes in powder form, (which is the way I take it), capsules, juice, or you can juice your own with a wheatgrass juicer.
You can also buy a wheatgrass kit on how to grow wheatgrass yourself.
I find taking the powder form much easier (if you can’t handle the taste), mix it with juice or take the capsules they offer the same benefits.
I sometimes take mine with cranberry juice (which is also very good for you) or water, it is also great in a smoothie.
You can also buy barley grass, it has the same benefits as the wheat grass, and the only difference is in the taste. It doesn’t taste as nice as wheat grass, it has much more of a bitter taste and is easier to swallow mixed with juice.
Wheatgrass can be taken anytime; I usually take mine first thing in the morning to give me that jump start for the day. If you take it an hour or so before a meal, your body will be able to take full advantage of the nutrients.
It helps lower blood pressure, and is a great for people who are taking medications for this problem. As many medications can have side effects, taking wheat grass is a great alternative and completely natural.
I always have wheat grass in the fridge and I give it to my daughter. So far I have been unable to get my son to take it, no matter how much juice I mix with it, he still turns his nose up.
This is a wonderful, easy supplement to include into your daily anti aging regimen.
