Silica Benefits Fingernails Hair And Skin
Taking silica (colloidal silica) you will achieve stronger fingernails, hair and clear skin. Basically if you are getting older take silica.
Silica also known as silicon, is what holds us together, so without it, we could fall apart! We need it for our connective tissue (collagen formation) and development. It is a trace element (a mineral that is only present in the body in minute concentrations).
It is one of the most common elements in the earth; some forms of rock and stone contain silicon.

It is critical for healthy organ and connective tissues, bone and cartilage.
It is important for our overall bodily function.
Silica strengthens your hair, and you are less likely to suffer from split ends and dull looking hair. If you are taking silica, you will not have to spend a fortune on hair care products, as your hair will be healthier, stronger, and thicker.
I have been taking silica for over 1 year now, and I can see and feel a difference. My fingernails no longer break like they used to, and there is an improvement in the thickness of my hair, it looks and feels great.
When we are young, our bodies are able to absorb and maintain high levels of silica, so that our bodies remain flexible, energetic and resilient.
Silica is the reason why children have such beautiful smooth skin and silky hair. As we age, this supply of silica starts to deplete which results in a lot of our aging problems.
It has also been found that Calcium and Vitamin D alone are not sufficient for bone strength; silica is what helps with calcium absorption.
Foods with Silica
- cucumbers
- oats
- rice
- wheat
- strawberries
- onions
- avocados
Herbs with Silica
- horsetail
- comfrey
- nettle
Without silica, we are unable to maintain adequate collagen and will have many aging problems such as:
- dry skin
- hardening of arteries
- unable to digest food properly
- weekend teeth and gums
- wasting or decrease in the size of organ or tissue
We are hard pressed to find enough silica in our foods. It is primarily found in oats, barley, wheat, millet, rice and potatoes. Unfortunately, these foods are usually refined to a point where all the silica has been removed.
Other foods with silica are; asparagus, cucumbers, cabbage, sunflower seeds, onions and strawberries.
Trace minerals like silica are also rare in our diets because of processed food and soil depleted by chemical treatments.

I have been taking silica supplements for as long as I can remember. Yes, I find that silica really helps in improving hair, skin & nail condition, making the healthier and more resilient. I can see the results especially my nails which are relatively strong and sturdy. Am 31 years old now and have not had a “break” from silica supplements. Would that be dangerous? What are the side effects/adverse reactions if one doesnt take a break from silica supplements?

No, there are no adverse reactions if you don’t take a break from it. Sometimes it is just good for your body to have a little break from supplements……..
