This is one supplement that Scientists have spent a lot of time studying, and apparently it does live up to everything it is supposed to do.

Pycnogenol benefits are many, yet most important is its ability to help fight wrinkles, improve a complexion and help keep skin taut.

It does this by binding and protecting collagen fibres, and is excellent in helping a person fight aging.

Pycnogenol is apparently changing many people’s health for the better.

Pronounced (Pik-noj-en-all); it comes from the bark of the Maritime pine tree, and is a natural plant extract which grows over the coastal region of South-West France.

HOW PYCNOGENOL WORKS IN THE BODY

It provides oxygen and nutrients, helps the body with the removal of waste products and can replenish the skin with moisture, which will certainly improve  skin tone.

It will work in synergy with other vitamins you are taking, it can even help activate vitamin C and E in the body so they work longer.

This is one of the most studied herbs, and clinical studies have revealed it can help with a number of illnesses, one in particular is diabetes.

It has the ability to counteract the dangers of free radicals. It is able to stimulate cells to double their anti oxidative strength, and catches free radicals in the blood stream. This is what makes pycnogenol® so unique.

It can help the body circulate more blood during stressful times, by relaxing the blood vessels and preventing the heart from working harder, and increasing blood pressure.

A pycnogenol supplement is the most powerful antioxidant and natural free radical scavenger, and is 50 times stronger than vitamin E.

Pycnogenol is a water extract and a concentrated mixture of flavonoids, (also known as bioflavonoids and function as antioxidants), and it can be absorbed and distributed in the body within 20 minutes.

It has the ability to strengthen capillaries, arteries and veins by binding collagen and protecting it from degradation, and is the only known antioxidant able to cross the blood brain barrier and protect oxygen to the brain and central nervous system.

Other amazing health benefits to be had from pycnogenol, it is able to help support cardiovascular health and blood circulation, stop leg cramps, strengthen immune system, relieve pain and cramping due to menstrual disorders, prevent blood clotting, improve joint flexibility, clear skin and improve ADHD/ADD symptoms.  Just to name a few.

Pycnogenol is a trademarked name for a water extract of the bark of the French Maritime pine tree, and used in herbal supplements. The healing powers of the pine bark have been used for centuries.

There are no pesticides used during the growing of the pine trees, and no toxic solvents used during the manufacture of pycnogenol.

The wonderful benefits is seeing immediate visible results.  It is definitely something you would want to include into your daily life, to help keep you looking younger.

You can buy pycnogenol supplements ranging anywhere in price from around $20 to over $80, but here is the thing, you buy cheap you get cheap.  When looking at including this supplement into your daily anti aging regime, it is important to do your research.

I used to buy pycnogenol from a health food shop and I was paying just over $50.

When taking pycnogenol, you need to be careful the brand you take does not contain any artificial colors or preservatives.

I’ve been using pycnogenol for about 2 years and will never go off it. You need about 100 mg per 100 pounds to be affective. I weight about 220 and take 200 mg per day and I notice the benefits. The main benefit is increased energy, clarity of mind, and helps with knee pain. I notice too that it helps with my complexion and reduces wrinkles. I pay $16.99 a bottle from Swansonvitamins.com which contains 30 quantity 100 mg pills. This is a 15 day supply for me. It is costly but there are direct benefits associated with it unlike many other supplements. I just ordered some today!
