Peace of mind comes from not wanting to change others, but by simply accepting them as they are. True acceptance is always without demands and expectations. GERALD G. JAMPOLSKY

Olive Oil Benefits

Olive oil benefits are many, it is not only a great oil to cook with; the health benefits of olive oil can help with skin care helping you stay looking younger for longer.

Types of Olive Oil –  There are many different types on the market, and you need to be aware of which one you are putting in your trolley.  Don’t look at the price, look at the type of oil you are buying, some things are worth paying extra for.olive oil and salad 225x300 Olive Oil Benefits

You can buy Extra Virgin, Virgin, Pure and Extra Light and the difference between them is in the processing.

Extra Virgin is the first pressing of the olive, and extracted with no chemicals.

Best to buy cold pressed, this means minimal heating was used to extract the oil. Buy one in a dark tinted bottle as this keeps the oil from oxidation, which occurs when exposed to light and of course try to buy organic.  This way, you are getting all the olive oil benefits.

Extra Virgin is a good oil to use on cold foods such as salads, 1. Not so good for frying foods because the heat impairs its flavour.

Virgin is from the second pressing of the olive, also buy cold pressed in a dark tinted bottle, good for use in cooking.

Pure oil has gone through processing, such as filtering and refining (chemically processed).

Extra Light has gone through extensive processing and refining (chemically processed), and only has a very mild flavour. The word light refers to the color and flavor, not calorie content and it also lacks the natural antioxidants.

Pure and Light  are refined with a cheap oil, this is about 95% refined oil with about 5% virgin oil. Refined oil is mixed with virgin oil for color and flavor.

The fats in cold pressed olive oil, are very similar to your skin, so you will not suffer from any allergic reaction. Therefore making this oil safe to use for everyone.

As you can see, there are many types of olive oil, it is all about making the right choice.

No need to run a mile from olive oil calories at the family bbq, light oil has nothing to do with calories, and more to do with harming your health.

Extra Virgin  is rich in antioxidants such as chlorophyll, which you find in all dark green leafy vegetables and supplements such as wheat grass

The benefits of olive oil extra virgin also contains vitamin E and is rich in monounsaturated fat, which can help lower cholesterol and may reduce heart disease.  Monounsaturated fat will also lower levels of the bad LDL cholesterol, and blood fats called triglycerides.

By including more of this oil into your diet you will help lower triglyceride levels, if these levels in a diabetic are high, it puts them at risk for heart disease.  People who are at risk of diabetes or those who are diabetic, are advised to include olive oil benefits into their diets, as it has been shown to help control blood sugar levels.

By replacing other fats in your diet with this type of oil, you can significantly lower the risk of heart attack and lower blood pressure.   It also contains polyphenols, which are powerful antioxidants to help prevent age related diseases

Olive Oil Benefits

Olive oil lice treatment is a very effective way of helping parents rid their children’s hair of these pesky nits.  Saturate dry hair with oil and leave wrapped in glad wrap or a shower cap for at least 8 hours.

The uses for this oil are endless, you can use it in the bath, just put in a few tablespoons of  oil, you can put in some of your favourite essential oil as well, hop in relax and enjoy!

I usually don’t bother putting anything else into the bath water with the oil.  Since I have started doing this my skin feels so soft and smooth.

If your face ever feels a little dry or just needs some extra softening and moisturizer, massage a small amount of oil into your skin.

Did you know you can also remove your makeup with the benefits of olive oil,  it does just as good a job as any bought brand.

For dry feet, rub them with the oil put on a pair of socks and go to bed.  In the morning you will have lovely smooth feet.

Soak your fingernails in a bowl with some warm oil for about 10 to 15 minutes once a week and you will have stronger fingernails.  This will help tremendously for weak and brittle fingernails.

The benefits of olive oil are numerous, it is also one of the few which can be made without chemical processing, and is often recommended by some doctors to lower fat and calories in your diet.

Some beauty products contain the health benefits of olive oil, yet all you have to do is use the oil straight from the bottle to gain the many olive oil benefits for your body and health.

Italian Olive Oil – Greek Olive Oil – Spanish Olive Oil ? How to Choose
That oil to choose? That oil gives better benefits of olive oil? An issue even olive lovers (like me, of course!) If you’ve been asked several times. Imagine you’re in the supermarket looking at the olive oil platform more than 20 to 30 varieties of oil in bottles of different names, origin, color. What is more healthy and tasty, I had to spend the extra to get the bottle instead of the more affordable?

This article does not want to cover all possible dimensions that can help choose the best olive oil their needs (they can all have different needs, after all!), but I want to help you understand more about the Mediterranean, the three main countries that produce and export olive oil.

First, there is a difference between olive oil Italian, Spanish and Greek?
Yes, there is a difference in taste. First, the olive trees in these countries belong to different species. Second, the flavor is often based on soil conditions and climate.

But if you’re not a professional tasting of olive oil, the difference may be subtle, and may not be able to distinguish different varieties of olive oil based on origin. For many people, the difference is more evident when it comes to other aspects such as the preparation process, where the oil is fresh, acidity, etc.

Another important aspect is that consumer surveys have shown that people prefer different kinds of olive oil, in other words, the olive oil to choose may depend on your particular taste! But let us briefly covers the differences between these different types of olive oil.

What is true of Greek olive oil vs vs Italy Spanish olive oil
To answer this question, I would like to highlight two points are not new to oil experts. First, we know that Italy is a country consumes more oil than it actually product. This means that the Italian producers of olive oil often have to import oil from Spain and Greece! Following are the best (among countries) to the market, which means you can go through the Italian olive oil that people find in supermarkets may actually arrive or mix with olive oil from other countries.

To explain the second point I want to say about the olive oil awakening has been a couple of my friends (in the U.S., Australia, UK) when I visited my native region in southern Italy. What happened? Simple, that led them to a local oil mill and had them try the olive oil just to get out of the oil press. It was a fantastic experience for them, I said that despite often buy Italian olive oil at the supermarket, never even olive oil can taste.

Basically, it is true that the question countries the products are the best olive oil ؟Es be! Olive oil from Italy can be as good as Olive Oil from Spain the olive oil from Greece. Fresheness all depends on the quality of olive oil and taste!
