Effects Of Soft Drinks

The effects of soft drinks on your health and teeth can be very damaging, these types of  drinks are definitely a no no for looking younger.

Caffeine in soft drinks can make them quite addictive, I have known a few people in my time to drink them every day of the week. If you enjoy drinking coffee as well, then you are getting a double hit of caffeine daily, which is not good for anti aging.

There are also calories in soda drinks, even if you are drinking the diet free sodas. Don’t fool yourself into thinking they are calorie free. In the long run, you are not doing your health or weight any justice.

Many illnesses have been caused by drinking low sugar, artificial sweetener soft drinks, I mean, really, when you think about it, common sence alone will tell you there are a lot of chemicals and preservatives in that drink whether it is low sugar or not.

Tooth erosion is another common problem with drinking soft drinks, and many people think if they consume the diet drinks this will not happen, yet the phosphoric acid and citric acid in these drinks will to some extent cause tooth enamel erosion as well.

Aspartame can be found in diet soft drinks, which is another reason why they are just as bad as regular soft drinks.  Aspartame is an artificial sweetener (low calorie).  This is a dangerous carcinogenic (a substance capable of causing cancer).  It has also been known to cause depression, insomnia, weakness, migraines, irritability and other health concerns.

Considering the health effects such as, the calories and caffiene in soda drinks, they offer you nothing in the way of nutrition.

Sugar in soda drinks is a form of high fructose corn syrup, and corn syrup has been found to affect proper functioning of the heart, as it can affect the minerals your heart needs.  It can also cause diarrhea, aging (which you don’t want!), blood clots, anemia, soft bones, infertility, diabetes and many more health problems.

There are many health problems associated with soft drinks, such as the phosphate content of these types of drinks is very high and they contain no calcium.   This is definitely not the type of drink you want your children to get used to.

Effects Of Soft Drinks

- Can lower calcium levels in your body and high phosphate levels in your blood.  If your phosphate levels are too high and calcium levels too low, calcium is pulled from your bones, leading to soft bones.

- May damage arteries.

- Cause osteoporosis.

- Promote weight gain which in turn can promote diabetes.

- Increase risk of kidney damage.

- Effect your liver and impair your digestive system.

Drinking out of cans can do even more damage to you, there is a certain chemical that coats the inside of the aluminum can, and this is suspected of causing spontaneous abortions and abnormalities in early stages of pregnancy which need to be aborted.

You may want to think about the calories and caffeine in soft drinks, as well as the effects it has on your health, before you reach for one.

Drinking soda to quench your thirst is not the answer, if you are feeling thirsty then you need to drink water, because your body is dehydrated, this way you will also avoid the calories in soft drinks.

Don’t let the effects of soft drinks ruin your health and your looks.
