Having a dairy free food lifestyle is not that difficult, if it is one you desire. Many people these days are on a dairy free diet.
Many experts argue, it is not a good diet to be on, as it is a part of a healthy lifestyle, and there are many experts who say the opposite.
It can be a difficult thing to try to work out what is best for you health.
The problem with consuming too much dairy, is its fat content. Butter for example is almost 100% fat, and many types of cheese may contain anywhere between 50% to 85% fat. Not good if you are trying to watch your weight.
Some people can suffer from an allergy or are lactose intolerance. These two health problems are similar, in that both are a dairy allergy, the difference is the body’s reactions to eating dairy.
Many people these days suffer from gluten issues such as Celiac disease, this is being incapable of properly digesting foods such as; milk and sugar. People who have this health problem, may be recommended this type of diet.
If you have been diagnosed with Irritable bowel syndrome, you may experience the same symptoms as lactose intolerant. In some cases, a person has been diagnosed with (IBS) irritable bowel syndrome and yet are really lactose intolerant. Tricky, but if this is you, then you may want to take the chance and find out if you are only lactose intolerant.
Many times a product labelled “non dairy” will very often contain dairy, also look out for these words on labels, “lactose,” “lactic acid,” “casein,” or “caseinate,”.
Perhaps you have a slow metabolism, a mucous problem, you feel sluggish and are gaining weight. You can bet, that this is probably all due to consuming too much of these foods.
For many people, having a dairy free diet is about trying to overcome a health problem. There are so many yummy dairy free foods available, you won’t be missing out!

I take in a lot of dairy products and is primarily because I have a calcium deficiency. Do you recommend any other way to take in large amounts of calcium that do not involve pills?

Eat more vegetable such as broccoli, which also contain calcium.
