Castor Oil For Skin

Castor oil for skin is now becoming more and more widely known, and used.

Instead of using it as a health supplement for inside your body, the benefits of castor oil are now being recognized for on your body.

There are many castor oil uses, yet to get the most out of this oil for helping you look younger, use it on your face and hair.

In fact, it is said that the benefits of castor oil works better on your skin for helping to erase wrinkles, than any store bought brand.

It is incredibly rich in antioxidants, minerals, proteins, vitamin E, anti fungicide, and antibacterial properties.

Before you rush out and grab any ol’ castor oil from the grocery shelf, you will get the anti aging benefits if the oil is organic, old pressed and hexane free.  Cold pressed means it still contains all its valuable nutrients, and it should be a very pale or light yellow in color.

To use it on your face, rub a little over your face and under and above your eyes, its consistency is a little sticky and thick, so you will need to use it sparingly.  The best time to use it is at night before you go to bed.

Rub it into your eyebrows and eyelashes to help thicken them.  This is great to use for women who have spent years of plucking their eyebrows and for eyebrows which are thinning with age.

Your skin produces oil, and by using a natural oil such as castor oil, like organic rose hip oil your skin is able to breathe and absorb the oil you are putting onto it.

Another great way to utilize castor oil uses, is to massage your whole body before you have a bath, this will help stimulate your muscles and internal organs.

It also comes in handy if you need to treat cuts, burns, sunburn and abrasions.

The many castor oil uses may even help treat and heal nail fungus. Soak a cotton wool ball in castor oil and wrap it around the nail infected with fungus, do this every day for around 20 minutes.  The oil contains ricinoleic acid, and this helps prevent the growth of yeast, viruses and bacteria.

How to have healthy hair, using castor oil, will help thicken hair, moisturize hair, prevent dandruff  and improve hair growth with this oil.

Warm up about 1/2 cup of castor oil in a pot, make sure it is  not too hot.  Apply the oil to wet hair and massage into your scalp, cover with bath cap and leave for around 15 min, then wash as usual.   Try to avoid getting too much castor oil on your hair, as it is quite thick and can be difficult to wash out.

Another way is to massage the oil into your scalp and roots of your hair,  leave in overnight and wash out in the morning.

It is a vegetable oil, extracted from the castor bean and can also be found in many products such as soap, nail polish and perfumes.

Thank you so much for this website. It’s so informative and practical. I’m a devout reader from Malaysia. With regards to castor oil, we can’t really find the cold pressed and hexane free ones here. Could you recommend 1) a good brand of castor oil and 2) a reliable online company that sells the castor oil?

    Appreciate your time and effort.
