Burn Abdominal Fat

Burn abdominal fat; has to be the one part of the body most of us are concerned about.

How to lose abdominal fat for the mature woman can be a problem, it’s not called ‘the middle aged spread’ for nothing.

Eat more foods that will help reduce abdominal fat, such as apples, almonds and blueberries.

Menopause time can be even more of a problem, so for those of you who have not reached that stage of your life yet, you have a lot to look forward to!

Not only is it very appealing to have a flat tummy, it can help make you feel good about yourself and it is important for your health.

Carrying around extra abdominal fat, can increase the risk for heart disease, some forms of cancer, diabetes and bad cholesterol.

Fat is stored in two areas around the midsection:

If you have a lot of abdominal fat around your middle from giving birth, check to make sure your tummy muscles have not separated.  If they have, nothing you do will help, unless you do specific exercises to target this particular problem.  Another option is to have an operation, which is costly.

If your stomach muscles have separated, don’t do side stretches, or sit ups, where you are lifting the top half of your body off the ground.

If you don’t feel comfortable joining a gym, buy some weight equipment for home.  It will come with a chart on all the different ways to lift the weights, so you don’t have to know a lot about how to do it.

Diet, aerobic exercise, weight training and abdominal exercise are the way to lose that stubborn fat around the middle.

The recommended amount of exercise to do is at least 4 to 5 times a week, including aerobic exercise and weight training.

This can be a little unrealistic for those of us who have a busy life, with work and kids etc.  Look for ways which make it easy for you to include changes into your daily life to help reduce abdominal fat, I have found getting up a little earlier in the mornings and doing the wii fit.

Try doing breathing exercises, drink plenty of water, going for a walk a couple of times a week, or go to the gym and eat breakfast in the mornings.

Make sure your calorie intake is not greater than the amount you burn.  An easy way to do this, eat 5 small meals a day instead of 3 main meals.  Try to include more foods and spices such as cayenne pepper, to help speed up your metabolism.

Learn to do some floor exercises at home, stretching, abdominal exercises and yoga.  It all helps to make a difference and keep you flexible and looking younger.

When you see those ads on television for exercise machines to use at home, to lose body fat, think again. they don’t work no matter how good they sound.  I know this, because I have tried a couple and they just end up under the bed or in the garage gathering dust.

Also, be aware if you are a stress eater, as you are a prime target to put fat on your tummy.  Stress will cause the body to produce more of the hormone cortisol, also known as ‘the stress hormone’.

How to reduce abdominal fat can be difficult if you are stressed, the body produces higher amounts of cortisol, which can have negative effects on the body such as; increased fat and a decrease in muscle tissue, making it extremely difficult to lose that fat.

If you are stressed try and find ways of destressing so you can learn to relax more, and burn abdominal fat.

Do 1 or 2 ab exercises after every workout. Your workout ought to include compound movements first so you end up burning up a lot more calories from fat. Do efficient ab workouts like swiss ball sit ups, reverse crunches, and hanging knee raises. These will not only work your abs but additionally your core so your entire body will understand to build muscle much faster rather than heading correct for the weight bench.
