Aloe vera is one of the most versatile plants, and has been used for years for many different things.

It has proven to be very beneficial for your health, and people all over this planet of ours are using it in many various ways.

Cleopatra was known to use aloe vera, and the beauty effects of this wonderful plant is centuries old.

Including aloe vera into your anti aging regimen makes good sense, as it is proven to be an excellent antioxidant, needed to keep you looking younger. It has been found to be great for treating wrinkles, stretch marks and pigmentation’s.  How do you live without it!

Aloe vera

Aloe vera helps hydrate the skin and accelerate skin repair.

If you are feeling stressed, your body is in a state where it produces an overload of free radicas, aloe vera can help protect the body from oxidative stress.

Other medical studies on the plant have found it can be very beneficial to the heart and able to destroy bacteria, and has anti inflammatory properties.  It also has the ability to enhance blood quality, allowing the blood to effectively transport oxygen and nutrients to the body’s cells.

Now we find aloe vera being used for all sorts of things, as it offers much nutritional value, both inside and outside the body.  Apparently, there is no other plant being studied so extensively for its beneficial qualities, and what it can do for the human body.

Aloe vera can be taken as a juice, supplement, powder or used straight from the plant. Many people are discovering how simple it is to achieve optimum health, and cure many illnesses by taking aloe vera as a supplement.  I take the juice, every mornng and evening.

Aloe vera is packed full of minerals, vitamins, amino acids and proteins.  It contains all the vitamins a person may need, except for vitamin D this you can get from the sun.

Illnesses in the body aloe vera can prevent

Research into the healing properties of aloe vera is on going.

I am sure you have already seen it being used in skin care products, such as cleansing, toning, moisturising creams and sunscreen products.  The benefits of using aloe vera on your skin are also beneficial, as the properties in the aloe vera plant allow it to work together with other ingredients used in the products.

Again, I stress if you are going to look for products with aloe vera in them, look for all natural ingredients.  Aloe vera can also be found in shampoos, soaps and cosmetics.  It is used for its moisturising benefits.

It has widely been known to treat burns and sunburn, in fact aloe vera gel is perfect for rubbing gently into your skin if you have had too much sun, as it helps soothe and repair skin.

Aloe Vera Plants

There are over 300 hundred different types of aloe vera plants.  Aloe Barbadensis Miller is said to be the easiest to cultivate and perhaps the most potent medicinally.

Perfect to have growing around your home, as this great plant can be used to help wounds heal.  If you have children, it is the perfect thing to put on those scrapes, cuts and burns.  Just cut of some of the plant, and rub the gel like substance that comes out from the inside of the plant, onto the wound.  As the aloe vera dries, it pulls the wound shut, keeping it free of bacteria.

Can also be used on your pets!

My mum always has aloe vera plants growing in her garden, and has often spoken of there amazing abilities.  Yes mum, I am finally listening!!
